  i have a dream today

i have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. wow, what a dream it has been for martin luther king. but the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their

dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and sometimes i personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

however, we need dreams. they nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. they keep us going. most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. when we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. however, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. don‘t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.

next january, we will graduate from the school, we will enter into thesociety, the environment changes will bring us anything, now i can make nothingof it. but i know the upcoming is a new life, a new starting point.

in the middle of an ordinary life, always heard about a green hand studentssetbacks is a terrible word, we do not need to care too much, a lot offrustration is often a good start. some people grow up in the setback, someonein the frustration in the fall, the key depends on an individual is how totreat. to know the world is always relative, setbacks will be successful, it iswhat you want to do in the state of mind to face, stand up to better themselves, just to love, be contrite and reform oneself sigh unceasingly, can only continueto cry. which station on the table, not a bunch of sad past? frustration oftenmakes them station more stable.

i remember that the united states novelist, maugham wrote a novel, calledthe" blade", is that people moving from one state to another state when, as atransition from the knife to the other side, but the most difficult time isthrough the edge of the moment, i walked past will find, the other side of theknife not far from the way we thought impossible.

now, fast graduation face is going to test establishment, at school i oftenhear someone say" we than undergraduate, also do not go to test!", often hearsuch words, i would sniff at. in my opinion, the undergraduate is fierce, but wealso is not a coward, why not start to abandon? usually say " opportunity is forthose who are prepared", here i want to add a sentence "the opportunity is givento those who dares and challenges people," if we have the courage to challenge, again with our 5 years of accumulation, we have nothing more than undergraduate.moreover, our professional ability is stronger than they, after all we are spent5years learning, plus we have two internship opportunities, have a look, notover it, we the prerequisites have been far better with them, what need is thereto be contrite and reform oneself?

no matter how difficult, as long as we try to find the bright side, so, nomatter how bad trouble will be better. otherwise, will only make you stuck inmisery.

the society is like an ocean is vast, as broad as the sky, we are so vast,so lofty social environment, how can not find their base point?

students, let us together under the flag wishes, wish our life everywhereman wenming flower! wish our own step by step towards civilization!

do civilized people, always call the pursuit of life!

The story not only caters to everyone's inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result. The reward of success will be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. If a person inherits his father's millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. The term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. But as I understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor. To clarify my view, let me give another analogy.

If we changed the rules of football, greatly enlarged the goal and sent away David Seaman or any other goal keeper, so that another David, namely David Beckham, could score easily, then scoring would not give him the thrill of accomplishment and the joy that it brings. If we further changed the rules by not allowing Arsenal's defenders to defend, so that Beckham needed only to lift a finger, actually a toe, to score, then there would be no game at all, because the meaning of winning would have disappeared. In accepting the challenge, in surmounting the difficulties and in enduring the hardship, success acquires its value. The sense of attainment varies in proportion to the degree of difficulties on overcomes.

The concept of success is not constant but relative because the nature of difficulty is also relative. Something you do effortlessly might pose a great difficulty for a handicapped person. In acquiring the ability to do the same as you can, he or she achieve success. That's why we greatly admire Stephen Hawking, because, though confined to a wheel chair, he has contributed greatly to the field of science.

I myself, a rather shy person by nature who easily suffer from stage fright, had to pluck up great courage to take part in a speech contest like this. I could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not entering the university level contest. But I chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. Now here I am. If I come out first, it will be a great success for me. If I come out last-I hope this will not be the case-but if I come out last, I will not call my attempt a failure, but will also celebrate it as a true success, because part of my goal is my own character training-to do more assertive, to be brave in face of difficulties. For me, it is a meaningful step forward, small as it is, in the long journey toward the final success in my life, because I have truly gained by participating.

Let us return to our handsome young prince and the 4-step definition of success. You my have noticed that the usual worldly criteria of wealth, position and fame were not mentioned as part of the story, but rather, it emphasized the process of overcoming difficulties. The ancient wisdom had already defined the meaning of success, and this is my definition, too.

  Thank you.

What would you do if you failed? Many people may choose to give up。However, the surest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to yourgoal。On your way to success, you must keep your direction。 It is just like alamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overe obstacles on your way。Otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead。Direction meansobjectives。 You can get nowhere without an objective in life。You can try towrite your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve it。 In this way,you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time properly。 And youshould also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long as you keep yourdirection all the time。

Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is thefreshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of theappetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We growold by deserting our ideals.

Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul .Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure ofwonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the gameof living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station: so longas it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courag

When I was fifteen, I announced to my English class that I was going towrite and illustrate my own books. Half the students sneered, the rest nearlyfell out of their chairs laughing. “Don’t be silly, only geniuses can becomewriters,” the English teacher said smugly, “And you are getting a D thissemester.” I was so humiliated I burst into tears.

That night I wrote a short sad poem about broken dreams and mailed it tothe Capri’s Weekly newspaper. To my astonishment, they published it and sent metwo dollars. I was a published and paid writer. I showed my teacher and fellowstudents. They laughed. “Just plain dumb luck,” the teacher said. I tastedsuccess. I’d sold the first thing I’d ever written. That was more than any ofthem had done and if it was just dumb luck, that was fine with me.

During the next two years I sold dozens of poems, letters, jokes andrecipes. By the time I graduated from high school, with a C minus average, I hadscrapbooks filled with my published work. I never mentioned my writing to myteachers, friends or my family again. They were dream killers and if people mustchoose between their friends and their dreams, they must always choose theirdreams.

I had four children at the time, and the oldest was only four. While thechildren napped, I typed on my ancient typewriter. I wrote what I felt. It tooknine months, just like a baby. I chose a publisher at random and put themanuscript in an empty Pampers diapers package, the only box I could find. I’dnever heard of manuscript boxes. The letter I enclosed read, “I wrote this bookmyself, I hope you like it. I also do the illustrations. Chapter six and twelveare my favourites. Thank you.” I tied a string around the diaper box and mailedit without a self addressed stamped envelope and without making a copy of themanuscript.

A month later I received a contract, an advance on royalties, and a requestto start working on another book. Crying Wind, the title of my book, became abest seller, was translated into fifteen languages and Braille and soldworldwide. I appeared on TV talk shows during the day and changed diapers atnight. I traveled from New York to California and Canada on promotional tours. My first book also became required reading in native American schools inCanada.
